Terms and Conditions
By placing a booking with Rustic Game Rentals, the renter agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Booking & Rental Agreement
The renter agrees to hire the games and/or items listed on the issued invoice for the agreed rental period. The invoice forms part of this agreement.
Once payment has been received in full, the booking is confirmed and dates cannot be altered without prior approval from Rustic Game Rentals.
2. Hire Period
The standard hire period is two (2) days, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The hire period typically includes delivery the day before (or morning of) the event and collection the morning after. Games must be ready for collection at the agreed time.
Additional hire days may be arranged subject to availability and additional fees.
3. Delivery & Collection
Delivery and collection services are available Friday to Sunday only.
Weekday hires are available; however, weekday delivery and collection are limited and strictly at the discretion of Rustic Game Rentals. For weekday hires, the renter can collect and return the games from our Flagstaff Hill location at a pre-arranged time.
If the renter chooses to collect the games, they are responsible for ensuring they have a suitable vehicle, trailer, straps, and equipment to safely transport the items.
Responsibility for the games transfers to the renter once the games have been delivered or collected.
4. Venue Access & Approval
The renter is responsible for:
- Ensuring the venue permits lawn games
- Confirming suitable placement areas
- Providing clear access for delivery and collection (where applicable)
Any delays caused by restricted access, venue conditions, or lack of approval may affect delivery or collection times and may incur additional charges.
5. Payment & Cancellations
Full payment is required to secure a booking.
Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the event will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will receive a refund minus a $100 administration fee.
Rescheduling is permitted subject to availability and must be arranged in advance.
6. Weather & Environmental Conditions
Games must not be used or left in:
- Rain
- Areas affected by sprinklers
- Conditions that may cause water damage
- Extreme weather or unsafe conditions
Most games can be used indoors or outdoors on grass, paving or decking. Croquet requires lawn or ground where pegs can be driven into.
Damage caused by weather or environmental conditions during the hire period is the responsibility of the renter.
7. Use, Safety & Supervision
Games must be used only for their intended purpose and set up safely.
Most games are suitable for children aged 5 years and over. Adult supervision is required at all times when children are using or around the games.
The renter agrees to follow all instructions and safety guidelines provided by Rustic Game Rentals. Any modifications to the games must be approved in advance.
8. Damage, Loss & Bond
All hires include a $50 refundable bond.
The renter is responsible for all loss or damage to games and equipment during the hire period. This includes missing parts, breakage, or damage beyond normal wear and tear.
If damage or loss occurs, the renter may be charged repair or replacement costs. The bond will be applied toward these costs where applicable, with any remaining balance payable by the renter.
9. Cleaning & Condition on Return
Games must be returned clean, dry, and in the same condition as received.
If games are returned excessively dirty, wet, damaged, or incomplete, additional cleaning, repair, or replacement fees may apply.
10. Liability & Assumption of Risk
Rustic Game Rentals is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from the use of the hired games.
The renter assumes all responsibility and liability for the safe use of the games during the hire period, including supervision of guests and compliance with venue rules.
11. Right to Cancel by Rustic Game Rentals
Rustic Game Rentals reserves the right to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, safety concerns, or events beyond our control.
In the event that Rustic Game Rentals cancels a booking, all payments made will be refunded in full.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia.
